DAL Global Services Tradeshow Project Manager in Atlanta, Georgia


Delta Global Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, Inc., has a Tradeshow Project Manager Job in Atlanta, GA through our Staffing Division. In the Tradeshow Project Manager Job, the candidatewill handle meetings & events that range in size from 10 to 1,200 people.Team member responsibilities would include contract negotiations, budget management event logistics, VIP management, menu planning, wayfinding, event production & design, branding, transportation, housing, registration and audio visual.


  • Developing event documents and specifications to include budget outline, project timeline, event resume, meeting logistics outline, catering outline and registration timeline. All documents to be highly detailed, organized and delivered by scheduled deadlines.

  • A working knowledge of attendee housing & registration to include managing a registration site, the ability to collaborate with key decision makers on creating an invitation, establishing an attendee guest list and create “know before you go” type documents for meeting attendees and Executives prior to their event arrival. Comfortable leading pre-planning meetings with internal project teams and external hotel/DMC/vendor partners.

  • Maintains professional demeanor and fosters relationship with all suppliers and partners to ensure services and materials are handled to reflect company standards and expectations.

  • Implements contingency plans as needed onsite.

  • Has the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems onsite seamlessly and discreetly.

  • Managing an event budget in its entirety and to provide a summary of event spend and forecasted spend in addition to identifying cost saving opportunities and communicating any potential risks to the overall event budget.

  • Complete post-event tasks to include reconciliation of expenses, evaluation of event, and report out on meeting results in addition to providing recommendations for future meeting improvements.

  • Facilitates and attends site inspection meetings (travel up to 45%).

  • Knowledge & understanding of the tradeshow space is a plus but not mandatory – this would consist of having a full understanding of pre-show, onsite and post-show management such as determining scope of project, creating timelines, sourcing promotional products, staying within a budget and forecasting tradeshow spend, collaborating with show service providers in addition to effectively laying out exhibit space and usage, understanding show rules and regulations, EAC and insurance, electrical, AV, drayage, lead retrieval, internet, rigging, furniture, shipping, etc.

  • Liaise between the Exhibit House, Account Executive, client and maintain direct contact with all parties regarding project status, related logistics, gathering graphic production files, sending proofs for approval, inventory management and logistics, development of floor plans, service layouts as well as any new fabrications with Exhibit House Project Managers.


  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 2+ years professional meeting experience (corporate experience preferred).

  • Tradeshow professional experience a plus (corporate experience preferred).

  • Superior attention to detail; first class organizational skills.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently/effectively.

  • Experienced at negotiating contracts and building partnerships with vendors/suppliers.

  • Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative and pride of work product.

  • High energy, positive, team-oriented, professional attitude, pride in work product and passion for event management.

  • Enjoyment and comfort with leading an event but also comfortable to play a secondary role for optimum event success.

  • Up to date on current trends in the meetings industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willing to submit references from previous clients and recent event documents upon request.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.

  • Hours may vary and will include days, nights, weekends etc. Travel 45% required .

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred.
